On August 25, Oldcastle Modular set the last precast concrete cell module for the new $29 million Reno County Correctional Facility expansion, completing the precast portion of the facility and marking a significant milestone for the project.

Ellis County Courthouse to Undergo Renovation

Plans that include a renovation and addition to the Ellis County Law Enforcement Center and a remodel of the Ellis County Courthouse are underway in Hays, Kan. The project’s architect, Kansas City, Mo.-based Treanor Architects, is currently making final changes to the remodeling plan for contractors to consider and bid on later this spring.

Johnson County Youth and Family Services Center in Olathe has recently been awarded LEED Platinum certification. After review of LEED awards to date, the facility seems to be the first juvenile detention center in the nation and possibly even the world to be certified LEED Platinum, according to Treanor Architects P.A., project architects for the facility.
