Coffee County Jail is Once Again State Certified

After losing its state certification due to overcrowding and understaffing in 2012, the Coffee County Jail in Manchester was recently re-certified by the Tennessee Corrections Institute (TCI), which establishes minimum standards for adult local jails, lock-ups, workhouses and detention facilities in the state.
 

California Senate Committee Rejects $250 Million Jail Construction Proposal

The California Senate Budget Subcommittee on Public Safety voted last Wednesday to reject the additional $250 million for county jail construction that Governor Jerry Brown proposed in his revised budget proposal.
