A partially finished solar farm located adjacent to the Otero County Prison in Chaparral will soon be completed and begin providing power to the correctional facility.

In late February, Alabama Governor Robert Bentley announced the introduction of the Alabama Prison Transformation Initiative Act. The new legislation will provide for the construction of four modern and more efficient prison facilities for both male and female offenders.
 

Plans Move Forward for New Federal Prison in Kentucky

U.S. Rep. Hall Rogers’ office released a statement in late February that the U.S. Bureau of Prisons (BOP) plans to use $444 million in federal money to construct a new federal prison on a 700-acre site in Roxana, although opponents could still block the project and the BOP has yet to release a final decision about the project.

There is a basic premise in photography called the Exposure Triangle. It is the combination of shutter speed, lens aperture and camera sensitivity that combine to make a good photo. Change any one of the three, and the other two must also change in proportion to ensure a quality image. Failing to make the correct adjustments leads to a poor image.
 

Bayamon Regional Prison Opens Medical Center

The recently completed Centro Medico Correctional (CMC) facility in Bayamon received the Distinction Team Award at the 2015 Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo for its design and the contribution project architects made to the correctional health care design industry. New York-based Urbahn Architects worked as the lead design architect with Puerto Rico’s DS+C Architects + Engineers to complete the project.
