The large counties including Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange, Kern and Sacramento, requested $500,000; and $300,000 is the currently available amount.
The medium counties including Stanislaus, Tulare, Santa Barbara, Monterey, Yolo, Sonoma and Placer, requested $414,768,863; and $200,000 is the amount listed as currently available.
For the smaller counties, the request sat at $188,086,940, with $102,881,000 as the amount currently available.
AB 900 was signed into law on May 3, 2007, appropriating $1.2 billion in jail construction funding through state lease-revenue bonds.
On March 8, 2012, the CSA Board convenes in regularly scheduled session. The Executive Steering Committee recommendations will be presented to the CSA Board for funding action/conditional awards.
