The new fire alarm control panels from The Gamewell Co. are designed for small- and medium-sized facilities, and feature flexible functionality and easy-to-install enclosures.The Gamewell Flex 4 and Flex 8 fire alarm control panels have initiating device circuits (IDCs) that can be configured for general alarm, water flow, supervisory, and alarm verification functions, as well as for programmable notification appliance circuits (NACs) to signal an alarm condition. The four- and eight-zone modules are simple to program, using DIP switches. The units are housed in a rugged steel enclosure that measures 14 (h) x 14 (w) x 5 (d) inches, and has a built-in trim ring. The Flex 4 and Flex 8 panels provide four Class B (Style B) or two Class A (Style D) IDCs and two Class A/B (Style Z/Y) NACs, or twice as many, respectively. The panels have a lockable front access door and feature resettable four-wire smoke detector power at 100 mA, integral walk test operation, and an EIA-485 interface for up to three model RA8 remote annunciators.
