Corrections industry specialist Timothy DeBuse has joined Heery International as the new market leader for the firm’s correctional design practice. DeBuse comes to the company from Corrections Corporation of America, where he was managing director of project development and corporate facility design. He will be based in Heery’s Nashville office and will be responsible for expanding the firm’s corrections practice, focusing on correctional and detention facilities and other law enforcement facilities. DeBuse has over 20 years of experience in the corrections market. He has been involved with the design and construction of projects with more than 47,000 beds and total value of $2 billion, including state and federal prisons, county and municipal jails, immigration facilities, and local law enforcement facilities. DeBuse holds M.Arch. and a B.S. in architecture degrees from the University of Nebraska. A National Council of Architectural Registration Boards certified architect, he is a member of the Design-Build Institute of America.
