Andrew Cupples

Andrew Cupples, AIA, recently was hired by DLR Group as part of their Justice+Civic practice in the Santa Monica, Calif., office. With more than 30 years of specialized experience, he is recognized nationally for his expertise in the planning and design of public facilities, especially in justice architecture.

“We’re excited about adding Andy to our national leadership team,” said David Boehm, AIA, DLR Group’s Justice+Civic practice leader. “He adds a deep portfolio of experience and a solid reputation of knowledge and exceptional service in the industry. His enthusiasm and understanding of the marketplace positions DLR Group to continue as strong leaders in planning and designing public facilities with his emphasis in corrections and detention projects.”

Cupples’ clients have included those at federal, state, county and municipal agencies across the country. Cupples was most recently employed by AECOM, where he was principal and project leader for the winning competition team for the new Long Beach Superior Courthouse, the first building performance-based infrastructure developed in the United States.
