Hunt Companies Acquires Carter Goble Lee

Move Aligns Industry Leaders in Public-Private Partnerships and Public Facilities Services

El PASO, Texas — Hunt Companies Inc. (“Hunt”) and Carter Goble Lee announced that Hunt has acquired the Carter Goble Lee companies including their planning, design, program management, facility management, and capital solutions divisions. The newly formed company will re-organize and consolidate ownership to form CGL Management Group LLC (“CGL”).

Hunt’s investment in CGL will add additional social infrastructure and public facilities development and management expertise to its extensive real estate development, investment, and management portfolio while adding financial capacity, managerial depth, and professional resources to the CGL Brand.

“CGL’s core business of justice facility planning, design, program management, and maintenance along with their other social infrastructure projects and capabilities provides good synergies with Hunt’s expertise in development, investment, and management of public-private partnership projects,” said Chris Hunt, Chief Investment Officer for Hunt.

Buddy Johns will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer reporting to the CGL Board of Directors while the founding principals — Steve Carter, Bob Goble, and Joe Lee — will continue their active involvement in their respective operating divisions.

“This reorganization and affiliation with Hunt enables CGL to continue to expand our national and international presence while giving us the stability and strength to bolster our global brand,” said Johns.

CGL will maintain its primary offices in Atlanta, Ga., and Columbia, S.C., with satellite offices in Mexico City, Mexico, and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
