Cook Named Correctional Health Professional

ST. LOUIS — HOK architect Gregory Cook has plenty of acronyms behind his name including AIA, LEED, and AP. But Cook recently added CCHP — Certified Correctional Health Professional — to his list of accreditations making him the first architect in the United States to earn a professional certificate in the field of correctional healthcare.

“His attainment of this certification as a practicing architect is truly an achievement,” says Jeff Goodale, director of justice operations at HOK. “Greg’s expertise, leadership and passion are really demonstrated through his desire to pursue this certification. Greg exemplifies the approach to cross-disciplinary collaboration and both healthcare and justice projects will benefit from it.”

To attain the CCHP title, Cook demonstrated mastery of national standards and the knowledge expected of professionals working in this field. The National Commission on Correctional Health Care administers the certification program. While Cook is the first architect in the country to earn the title, 2,000 other professionals have achieved the certification.
