Justice Facility Review Deadline Approaches

Time is fast running out to submit projects for consideration in the AIA’s annual Justice Facilities Review — the deadline for submission is 5:00 p.m. EST April 5, 2010.

The Academy of Architecture for Justice invites all registered architects to submit projects that represent state-of-the-art design in justice facility from corrections to courts, law enforcement to detention facilities, emergency operations and communications centers.

The JFR offers an opportunity to put your firm’s jury-selected projects before administrators, architects, representatives of state and local jurisdictions, and other justice sector stakeholders. Award recipients will be honored, and winning projects displayed, at the AIA 2010 National Convention and Design Exposition in Miami.

All project entries and supporting materials must be submitted online. The submissions fees are $700.00 for the first project, $650.00 for additional projects, and $400.00 for small-firm projects (five or fewer employees).
