HOK Taps Goodale to Lead Justice Practice

CHICAGO — HOK, a global architectural design and services firm, appointed Jeff Goodale, AIA, as senior vice president and co-director of the firm’s justice business unit.

In his new role, Goodale will join senior vice president John Eisenlau in co-leading HOK’s national justice practice, supporting business development, project design and delivery, client relations, financial management and staff development, to reinforce and expand the firm’s market presence at the federal, state and local levels as the sector grows in the coming years.
 
Goodale will work closely with regional practice leaders: Duncan Broyd (Florida), Catherine Chan and Chuck Oraftik (San Francisco), Michael Katzin (Atlanta), Jim Kessler (Washington, D.C.), and Bill Prindle (Dallas).

Goodale has 22 years experience in the justice market and has additional experience on healthcare and non-justice civic projects. He previously held the position of senior vice president at Omaha, Neb.-based HDR Inc., where he was director of design for the firm’s corrections, detention and law enforcement markets. He has correctional facility project experience ranging from 50 beds to 1,800 for adults and juveniles, along with projects at courthouses and public safety buildings.

Prior to joining HOK, Goodale most recently lead HDR’s work as part of the Clark/ McCarthy/ HDR/ HGA coopetition team on the 10,000-bed California prison healthcare receivership program.
