The firm also hired Mike Tatalovich, AIA, as practice leader for federal architecture. He has more than 29 years of experience in leading federal government business development, marketing and program management initiatives.

Milo E. Riverso, Ph.D., P.E., was appointed president of STV, a New York-based architectural, engineering and construction management firm. Riverso joined STV in 2005 as senior vice president of STV Construction Inc.

HDR Architecture Inc. promoted Jeffrey Goodale, AIA, to senior vice president. Goodale has more than 20 years of justice architecture experience and leads the marketing activities for the firm’s detention, corrections and law enforcement markets.

Carter Goble Lee, a Columbia, S.C.-based consulting, design and program management firm promoted Ben Crooks to senior associate. He joined the firm in 2004 and oversees facility master planning, needs assessments and architectural space programs. Delmer Dominguez was hired as a senior designer and specializes in transportation roadway systems. Michelle Deer joined the firm as a project intern architect.

David Burton joined dck worldwide as vice president of operations for North America. He will focus on business operations and development in the western United. Burton has more than 20 years of industry experience and will also coordinate construction activities and new project development in the corrections market.

Ann Seibert, CPSM, rejoined Durrant Group as business development officer. She will work in the firm’s Phoenix office and focus on business development opportunities in the justice, education, healthcare and commercial markets.

Colorado-based Sierra Detention Systems promoted Keith Thoene to president. A former field engineer with 13 years of industry experience, Thoene served as vice president of operations at Sierra for seven years. The company also announced Brandon Borgmann was appointed vice president of operations and work procurement. Borgmann joined Sierra after nine years with Hensel Phelps Construction.

Norment Security Group, of Montgomery, Ala., promoted Jay Matthews to national sales manager of its Airteq Systems division. Matthews, most recently served as Norment’s marketing manager. He will promote Airteq’s line of electric, electro-mechanical and pneumatic locks and locking systems.

Hope Windows Inc., of Jamestown, N.Y., announced the promotion of Brian W. Whalen to vice president of sales and the appointment of Jed E. DuBois to sales engineer. Whalen has more than 15 years of sales and senior management experience with the company, and DuBois will oversee all detention window sales within the specialty products division.

Matrix Systems, an access control and security systems provider headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, named Bruce Canal senior director of operations. Canal will manage project operations and client relations.

Roger Thibodeau joined the Dallas office of Control Technology and Solutions as accounting executive. The company, headquartered in St. Louis, provides turnkey design and construction services for energy efficiency systems.

Swan Fence Inc., of Compton, Calif., hired Tracy Jakositz as a sales representative. Jakositz has more than nine years of experience in the fencing industry and will oversee the company’s sales and tradeshow divisions.

Microwave Radio Communications, of Billerica, Mass., appointed Michael C. Payne group chief technology officer. Payne has more than 20 years of experience in the microwave communications industry and previously served as vice president of marketing and business development.
